About us

Fuels Safety Consulting Services (FSCS) Inc. is a consulting company focused on providing design or evaluation of the fuel systems serving fuel burning appliances to the appliance owners, installers or major consulting engineering companies.
As a company we want to change the way the approvals are obtained by ensuring the designed fuel systems serving appliances such as generators, fire pumps, boilers, flares, etc. are not only compliant with the provincial regulations but also with the national installation codes such as CSA B139, CSA B149.1, CSA B149.3 & CSA B149.6.
In 2020, Nina Nasiri; the founder of FSCS realized she could help the industry with her knowledge of the above-mentioned codes and background of working as a Fuels Safety Engineer with TSSA in Ontario and that’s how FSCS was formed.

FUEL OIL SYSTEM

Fuel oil system installations serving generators, fire pumps, etc.

Our services can include but not limited to design / assess the fuel oil system serving the appliances such as generators, fire pumps, boilers, etc and verify the compliance with regulations and national installation codes such as CSA B139 code.
Evaluation of the unapproved engine's exhaust system is also among our expertise.
With the offered testing procedure, we can make sure that your High Pressure Piping (HPP) testing is performed safely and smoothly.

BIOGAS INSTALLATIONS

FSCS offers assessment of biogas systems utilized in landfill facilities, digester gas installations at municipalities wastewater treatment plants, and biogas facilities located at farms.
As CSA B149.6 Technical Committee Chair, and ISO TC255 member, FSCS executive is up to date with the latest national and international industry code requirements.
Review and verification of the compliance of the installation with the national CSA B149.6 code is among the offered services for this type of installations.
Helping with the digester tank testing is also among the offered services.
Analysis and evaluation of renewable natural gas (RNG) installations and their related appliances and obtaining necessary approvals are within our scope of services.

Appliance Approvals

You can rely on our competencies when it comes to obtaining field approvals for the appliances such as boilers, waste gas burners or CHP units that need compliance with the requirements of CSA B149.3 code.
We can also help you with the evaluation of the PLC for the burners as required by B149.3.
